Little Theatre’s production of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple” is underway! We have the frame of our set up and some rehearsal furniture onstage. Only 3.5 weeks till opening night (November 29 at 8 p.m!) See the full cast list below.

We still have 3 more performances of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth,” this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., so if you haven’t seen it yet, don’t fret! But in the mean time, we are kicking off our next show, Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple.” Come on down to our clubroom to audition or fill out a form to be part of our production staff.
The performance dates for “The Odd Couple” will be November 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. and December 1 at 2 p.m.

Back to school means back to the Marie Maday Theatre and our beloved clubroom! Little Theatre will be having our first meeting of the year on Wednesday, August 29 at 7 p.m. in the theatre. Come learn about our plans for the year and give us YOUR suggestions on what YOU want to be a part of.
It will also be the first opportunity to hear about our upcoming Shakespeare show and auditions.

Little Theatre Presents “Much Ado About Nothing”

Opening the 2011-2012 Little Theatre season will be William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” set to open Thursday, October 20th. The show is directed by Artist-in-Residence Eileen Dugan and will run October 20th- 22nd and October 27th-October 29th in the Marie Maday Theatre in Lyons Halls; located on the campus of Canisius College. The last Shakespeare play Little Theatre performed was “Romeo & Juliet” in the Fall of 2009 Admission is free to both students and the public. Doors open at 7:30pm with curtain at 8pm. The October 29th show will be a special matinee performance with doors at 1:30pm and curtain at 2pm. Light refreshments will be served after each performance.

2011-2012 Second Stage Shows!

The Canisius College Little Theatre is proud to announce the Second Stage Shows and Directors for the 2011-2012 season!
In the fall, Kailey Balconi will be directing Ira Levin’s comedy thriller, Deathtrap, to run December 1st-3rd. Auditions dates will be held Monday, October 3rd from 2pm to 4pm in the Frisch Conference Room and on Tuesday, October 4th in the LT clubroom from 4:30-6:30pm.
In the Spring, Josh Robinson & Tyler Ianuzi will be co-directing Stephen Sondheim’s popular musical adaption of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, to run March 1st-3rd 2012. Auditions will be held in early December.
